The west german minister for scientific research stresses that his ministry is doing the utmost to help create an efficient national documentation documentation and information system. The five main tasks of the nextp few years are outlined. It is urgently necessary that future scientists and researchers should be familiarized with the fundamentals of documentation and information as early as in the course of their university study.
