Abstrakt:	This paper describes the extremely high-speed filming and scanning equipment designed by the Census Bureau for the 1990 count. The system, FACT '90, an acronym of FOSDIC and automated camera technology, is examined in every area, including the form itself, the handling of images, special imaging and retrieval systems, and the use of in-house microfilming.
