In recent years, manufacturers have been doing significant public relations activities to advertise their technology and expertise to the outside world in the hope of advancing their businesses. These firms have introduced R&D results and new products through publications they issue, but these activities are not enough for meeting the needs of markets where diversification as well as rapid changes have occurred. Using Horiba Ltd.'s technical bulletin titled 'Readout' as an example, describes how to actualize more effective and speedy technical information services, and explains how Horiba has been tacking the new issues. Discusses how engineers get access to technical information they need, how 'Readout' is compiled and published, and the nature of Horiba's electronic distribution system for its customers.
