Abstrakt: For years, both historical themes in literary narrations and the culture of memory have had a significant place in teaching children and teenagers in Poland. Polish and history teachers are aware of Holocaust literature that is addressed to young readers. This literature plays an important role in learning about the persecution of Jews, encouraging and facilitating students' emotional engagement, shaping their moral stance, and teaching them to respect the past (Rosenblatt; Miall; Paivio, Imagery and Images).
