Abstrakt: Sprains, strains, and fractures are common in all age groups, but individuals have little or no information about what to expect until it happens to them or someone they know. These injuries can occur in a flash, but the recovery can take days, months, or sometimes even longer. Depending on the severity and the part of the body affected, treatment may include self-care, surgery, and/or therapy. Authoritative and reputable websites with articles written by clinicians, surgeons, nurses, physical therapists, and other health care providers can assist individuals in understanding the treatment and prognosis of their injury. While this review found many well-written and comprehensive articles and accompanying media education, there was a surprising lack of overlap in the coverage of injuries by specific location. Therefore, it may behoove individuals to read the articles about general sprains, strains, and fractures, and then use the table provided in this review to find article(s) about their specific injury.
