| Abstrakt: | The article reports on research which was conducted to develop an automated risk prediction model to identify elderly patients who were at high risk of emergency admission to medical wards within 28 days after a visit to an index hospital in Hong Kong. Researchers evaluated data from elderly patients from 41 hospitals and 48 specialist outpatient clinics using the developed risk model to estimate the risk of emergency medical emission. They found that the model which they were able to develop had good discriminative value and good predictive value as well. |
