A profile of John Scally, chief executive and national librarian at the National Library of Scotland, is presented. Scally did a PhD in History at the University of Cambridge, and got a job as curator in the British Antiquarian Division at the National Library of Scotland in 1993. By 2002, he was appointed as Deputy Head of Rare Books at the National Library of Scotland. After two years, he joined the University of Edinburgh as Director of University Collections. |
