Abstrakt: The study of the mental health of biracial and multiracial people has been dominated by the view that mixed-race people will have severe identity and other mental health issues because of their ancestry. Additionally, society has tended to classify mixed-race people as members of a single race, often based on their dominant physical characteristics. As a result, little empirical study has been made of the mental health issues and needs of mixed-race people.
