Abstrakt: | In the history of competitive golf, 1930 marked the first ever “grand slam,” the winning of all four of the world’s major golf championships in the same calendar year by a single player. The tournaments considered to be part of the grand slam have changed over time. In 1930, they were the British Amateur, the British Open, the United States Open, and the United States Amateur championships, and American amateur golfer Bobby Jones won all four. |
