The diploma thesis is focused on the demand relations on the commodity vertical of malting barley in 1993–2017, for which it evaluates price elasticity. Within the commodity vertical of malting barley, the diploma thesis occupy with the consum-er market of beer, malt market and malting barley. Based on the annual data col-lected from the Czech Statistical Office, the Barley Yearbook and the Czech Hydro-meteorological Institute, models of relevant demand functions were compiled, through which price elasticity was assessed. The obtained coefficients of elasticity were interpreted in relation to the specifics of the considered agri–food vertical. |
