The general subject of this thesis is a new term in the practice of spatial planning: spatial study of the landscape. In this thesis the status of the term in spatial and landscape planning discourse is presented. What is, therefore, a spatial study of landscape, which terms it uses, who assigns it and how, who processes it and on what foundation, which strategic documents are respected and which are amended, what is the future and present condition of processing such study on the state level. In the methodology and results part there are suggested possibilities of a forest landscape analysis for purposes of a spatial study of the landscape: which foundations might be analysed and how, approach to both reconnaissance and design phases, how results might look and what is their actual meaning. |
