This thesis deals with revisions of Antonín Dvořák's opera 'The Jacobin' with the emphasis on libretto written by Marie Červinková-Riegrová. The creation of the libretto is examined using Červinková-Riegrová's "Notes" and her correspondence with František Ladislav Rieger and Antonín Dvořák. A special attention is given to the manuscripts of the libretto. The manuscripts are transcribed, compared and arranged into a chronological order. A chapter on the musical composition of the opera and the revision of the opera by Karel Kovařovic is included. The main contribution of the thesis is that it provides new findings on the development of The Jacobin opera libretto and the transcripted manuscripts including the initial versions of the libretto.
