Popis: When children move and are physically active, their well-being and well-being increases. Work that promotes children's physical activity and can contribute to reducing the risk of welfare diseases and mental illness. Most children under the age of 6 in Sweden spend a large part of their everyday life at preschool, which is an important arena for children's learning and development. The preschool's work must rest on a scientific basis in accordance with the curriculum (Lpfö18), where the preschool teachers have the primary responsibility for the pedagogical work and the content of the activities. The purpose of this study was therefore to take a closer look at how preschool teachers work to promote children's movement habits and physical activity in preschool and how the work goes in line with the curriculum. The results show that preschool teachers' different interpretations of the curriculum and ways of exercising their leadership are of great importance for how the work is perceived and carried out. It also appears that other factors such as physical environment, resources in the preschool and guardians' different conditions and experiences influence the work with children's movement and physical activity.
