Popis: In magnetic connement fusion devices, it is necessary to keep plasma awayfrom the containing walls by means of magnetic forces. In this way the plasmasustains it's high temperature for longer time duration. During the operationof Reversed Field Pinch device EXTRAP T2R, the plasma column was foundmoving away from the center of vacuum vessel in both directions, vertical andradial. In order to force back the plasma column from the shifted position todesired position, an appropriate magnetic eld via external coils is applied.But, since the plasma column position depends on the plasma parameters andthese parameters are changing during the operation, one has to ensure theequilibrium position every time. This can be done by use of intelligent feedbackcontrol system containing simple controllers like PID-controller. Recentlyat EXTRAP T2R this kind of feedback control system has been successfullyconstructed and attached to the system. In this work we will build a simplelinear model of Plasma Column Dynamics including eect of thin conductingshell. This model then will be simulated using Matlab- Simulink program,which will help to study and understand the optimum control of the plasmacolumn equilibrium position.
