Introduction/ Goals – This study treats climate declarations implementation in practice. The goal of this study is to investigate how the climate declaration affects document management, bring forth guidelines for how subcontracting agreements should be designed, and identify what type of climate data that should be used when developing a climate declaration. Method – The survey is a quantitative case study for a project at Gärahovs Bygg AB. The study is performed through a literature study, quantity reductions, climate calculations and document review. Result/ analysis of results – The study shows that there is a negligible difference between climate calculations made via generic data and specific data (EPD’s). Furthermore, has the study shown that there has been missing basis and documentation about the project concerned to conduct a complete climate declaration. When reviewing the concerned subcontractors subcontracting agreements, no agreement text has been found where the subcontractor has a responsibility to disclose certain parts of a climate declaration. Discussion – The study imply that companies should use generic data when developing a climate declaration. Furthermore, a proposition for subcontractor agreements has been created and guidelines for how companies should work with document management. Since this case study is done on only one specific project the results only give an indication of how companies should work with climate declarations in the future. Keywords: Climate declaration, generic data, specific data, document management, subcontrator agreements. |
