Popis: | 107 In the era of creative economy, to promote the overall development of economic, society and culture, countries all over the world strive to develop and formulate relevant policies through the design integration of culture and creativity. This trend seems to be interpreted as a “Design Turn of Cultural Governance.” Culture and creativity have also become the core concepts of Taiwan's official governance in recent years. The relationship between state power and public society is gradually transforming. The rise of the public's awareness of their own cultural rights reflects the necessity and importance of constructing cultural public sphere in Taiwan. As we take a look in Taiwan's book publishing industry, since 2010, the total sales have declined sharply, and chain bookstores keep retiring. However, an interesting phenomenon is that independent bookstores have continued to increase. Taking independent bookstores as the core object in this study, we attempt to construct its innovative model as a cultural public sphere. The main purpose is to explore the theory and application methods of the design turn in cultural governance. Based on the “Design-Driven Innovation (DDI)” theory, in order to collect key concepts and ideas, In-Depth Interviews with interpreters from various field and Case Study were conducted. The Grounded Theory was used in the next step to analyze all the qualitative data. According to the result, the author proposes a business prototype to independent bookstores as cultural public sphere, called “Small Readers”. This prototype advocates the promotion of "micro-reading" and is committed to making various future reading experiences happen in life. The key findings are as follows: 1) The cultural governance in Taiwan should enhance the integrated design policy; 2) The relevant design agency in Taiwan needs to expand its functions of “research” and “matching”; 3) The author constructs the “Design-Driven Innovation Blueprint” to strengthen the DDI theory; 4) Design-Driven can be divided into two strategies: “Destructive Design” and “Reconstructive Design”. |
