Popis: | 107 The purpose of this study was to understand the correlation between the parental involvement in education and the parent-teacher relationship quality in elementary schools. Questionnaire survey method was conducted. There were 140 teachers served as participants. The survey instrument was "Parent Involvement and Quality of Parent-Teacher Relationship in Elementary Schools Questionnaire", which was compiled by the researcher. The data was analyzed through descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, analysis of variance, Pearson’s correlation analysis and regression analysis. The major findings of this study were as following: 1.Parental involvement in the curriculum and teaching have no significant correlation with the quality of the relationship between the parents and teachers in elementary schools. 2.Parental involvement in class management and counseling have a negative correlation with the quality of the relationship between the parents and teachers in elementary schools. 3.Parental involvement in volunteer service have a positive correlation with the quality of the relationship between the parents and teachers in elementary schools. 4.Parental involvement in parent-child education have a positive correlation with the quality of the relationship between the parents and teachers in elementary schools. Educational implication and future direction were provided. |
