KEY SUCCESS FACTORS OF TRANSFORMATION FROM MILITARY FUXING NEW VILLAGE TO CULTURAL PARK IN HUALIEN

| Popis: | 107 The cultural assets of Taiwan's military dependents’ villages are now fading away. This paper explores the Key Success Factors for the Fuxing New Village in Hualien preserving and transforming from military dependents’ villages into Cultural Park. The "In-Depth Interview", "Modified Delphi Method" and "Analytic Hierarchy Process" have been used to evaluate the key success factors for Hualien Fuxing New Village transforming into cultural park with expert questionnaire. The Modified Delphi Method resulted in three main aspects and fifteen factors. The experts were from public institutions, architects, professional consultants and operators. The results show that the main key success factors are (1)retaining the original Japanese-style building-specific work method, (2)retaining the cultural and historical memory of the village, (3)introducing the creative team to set up the creative park, (4) having the characteristics of Japanese-style buildings, and (5) using old official residences to restore the original setting. This study also ranks and makes a priority classification of all factors, which are for further consideration by the managers in transforming the Hualien Fuxing Village into a cultural park. |
