The study aims to compensate the shortage of the contemporary instruction in composition and thus improve students’ learning effectiveness in composition in the comprehensive assessment program for junior high school students through the setup of the cloud database of the model compositions in the comprehensive assessment program for junior high school students. Action research is employed in this study, where the researcher integrates the teaching materials of the model compositions, builds a cloud database in the new-released Google sites, and then applies the cloud database of the model compositions in the comprehensive assessment program for junior high school students to the instruction in compositions. The results of this study are as follows: first, only the professional Chinese teachers are competent for the review and check on the compositions, and the conscientious and exact review with clarification can be a great benefit to the Chinese teachers’ composition instruction. Secondly, reviewing the compositions with clarification will be apt to making students’ problems in composition clear and obvious, so that students have more precise directions to follow. Thirdly, the cloud database of the model compositions in the comprehensive assessment program for junior high school students in Google sites can provide teachers with excellent teaching aids. Fourthly, the new-released Google sites is equipped with favorable teaching aids; it is a hands-on website where you can build applications, integrate other Google programs, and swift to cellphones or tablets automatically. At the end of this study, the researcher makes concrete suggestions on the composition instruction to serve as references for teaching and further researches.
