| Popis: | 107 The army is an indispensable and important role for the country''s survival and development, and the fighting spirit and quality of soldiers are the more important part of national defense. After the military recruitment system implemented, the volunteer forces became the main source of future military. People hope to achieve the goal of long-term recruitment and picked troops who have professional ability through the implementation of recruitment system in order to enhance the tenure of military officers. This is an important national defense issue and worth academic paying attention. Pratas Island is located in the southern periphery of Taiwan, and there are only more than 200 soldiers on the whole island. There has only one military''s replenishment flight per month, and the transportation, drinking water and even entertainment on the island are restricted. Under such circumstances, what are the ideas of retaining in army and personal careers of military officers on Pratas Island? In this study, the three results are obtained through in-depth interviews: Firstly, stable work and deposit are the biggest consideration for retaining in army. Secondly, the lack of futurity of volunteer forces is a key factor to think about whether to stay in army or not. Third, the lack of entertainment and the day-to-day routine life are the main factors to leave the army. |
