Study on the Factors Influences the Performance of 3D Model Building

Popis: | 107 With the trends of design diversification and 3D printing design started to become a prevailing style, more and more designers get to know 3D computer graphics building. For the beginner in this field, being equipped with the knowledge of modeling helps increase the rate of success in modeling. Multiple personal and extrinsic factors can have huge impact on the process of building 3D modeling. Hence, it is of great importance to investigate which factor could affect the final modeling result. Therefore, this research is to probe what differences lies behind designers’ modeling knowledge and tactics and how these divergences could further affect those modeling tasks and what influences have they brought to the performances of modeling. This research, focusing on the applied design students who participated in design Competition, can be further divided into three categories. First, using the scores from Graphics exam to review how factors are related. Then, by using questionnaire, the respondents were able to answer their preferences of sequencing their modeling gazing points. Lastly, recorded how respondents reacted during 3D modeling exams and decoded the films for further analysis. The result of the research is threefold. First, In the conduction of correlation analysis, the result has shown that it correspond with the inference of how Space ability affect Performance of Model building, gender differences of the respondents have no direct influences on well-trained students’ modeling performances. Second, Subjects had the same order of gazing points analysis for different objects, showing that certain route-finding strategies are embodied in their cognitively thinking during Model building. Third, comparing with lowest performance group, highest performance group execute more Boolean instruction and implemented less correction and primitive creation. |
