This thesis investigates the texts of films, exhibitions and institutional critique of Tsai Ming Liang ’s cinematic exhibitions, including Stray Dog at MoNTUE(2014)and No No Sleep(2016). Through the discussion, this thesis suggests the cinematic exhibitions in MoNTUE(Museum of National Taipei University of Education)has become the interface of Tsai Ming Liang 's interdisciplinary art by his different roles: As a film auteur, Tsai Ming Liang used intertextuality of main films, Stray Dog(2013)and No No Sleep(2015)in the exhibitions with his past works, classic films and classic literature by discussing the (non) narrative structures of them. Leaving the screen and extending to the exhibition halls, Tsai Ming Liang converted from a director to an artist as a curator. He used the three important elements in his auteur films: space, body, and water/liquid to connect his digital cinema and cinematic exhibition, and used the strategies of performative and relational art to meet fans and cultivate new audiences. Finally, from the text of being his own film dealers, he made the 21st century art museum as a new channel of art films with the habits in field of the movies.
