Popis: | 107 The progress in the modern notebook computer industry requires the physical design to have an ultra-thin narrow profile and be light weight. Therefore, the location of the antenna unit is restricted and forced to be placed close to the notebook mainframe system. This limiting choice causes electromagnetic interference (EMI) with the high-speed signal transmission on the main board. In this article, we explored the influence of such restriction on high speed transmission of Double-Data-Rate Fourth Generation Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory (DDR4 SDRAM or simply DDR4). Our study is based on the high-speed transmission of DDR modules by different operating modes of end-users to analyze the EMI affecting the transmission data rate of antennas in wireless communication. The impact and mitigation measures of EMI of DDR4 modules on wireless communication will be studied using electronic filters, absorber material and radiation shielding, and spread spectrum technology. Finally, through Wireless LAN throughput test, we may assess the effectiveness of the implemented mitigation measures in the improvement of the wireless transmission performance. |
