Determinants of Student Clubs Satisfaction - Taking National Pingtung University of Science and Technology as an Example

Apart from professional skills, it is important for college students to develop the participation experiences in club activities. In recent years, due to rapid changes and multiple values in society, college students’ devotion to schools declines, on the other hand, the choice for extracurricular activities increases, resulting in the lower intention of club participation This study aimed to explore club marketing, club management, school support and club satisfaction on continued participation. The study used “Quota Sampling”, and there were 200 samples of students in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (including students in bachelor's and Master's Program), who had the participation experiences in club activities at least for 4 months(or above). The findings are as followings: 1. The higher degree of club marketing, the more satisfaction the members get. 2. The higher degree of internet marketing, the more satisfaction the members get. 3. The better club activities it held, the higher satisfaction the members get. 4. The higher efficiency in the club leadership, the higher satisfaction the members get. 5. The more appropriate in club application, the more satisfaction the members get. 6. The more appropriate in administrative service, the more satisfaction the members get. 7. The more appropriate in club’s evaluation, the higher satisfaction the members get. 8. The higher satisfaction in club, the higher participation the members get. Based on the results above, researcher raise suggestions to educational administrative authorities. If there are specific work assignments and sufficient training courses in administrative management, the club can establish a complete operating team using marketing management properly. Also, Colleges have to continue emphasizing on extracurricular activities of clubs, arrange corresponding measures, encourage students to participate in clubs for understanding the operation, and give advices to club leaders or cadre properly for providing proper counseling strategy.
