In recent years, the rapid shift in aging society and low sub-replacement fertility in Taiwan has resulted in a serious distortion of the demographic structure. Care arrangement of the elderly and the restructuring of limited social resources have become hotly debated issues. In accordance with sharing economy, zero waste, and lifelong learning, this study adopted the Feasibility Theory, including four constructs as the market, environment, technology, and finance. With content analysis used to analyze the semi-structured interviews, this study aimed to investigate community habitants’ desires for lifelong learning and assess the feasibility of school vacant spaces as the learning sites for the elderly. The results revealed high feasibility in the market aspect in habitant participation as well as the environment aspect in space facilities because of fulfillment in necessary conditions. As regards the technology aspect in teaching materials, teacher training and material development should be strengthened, thus systematically increasing the feasibility. With regards to the finance aspect in budgets, feasibility could be enhanced by means of collaboration between the government and the community habitants. In sum, that both community habitants and school organizations highly anticipated the embodiment of teaching resources sharing through lifelong learning, jointly maximizing the value. The study suggests that the government should guide the elderly from the road of medical care to that of learning, improve and react to the elderly’s learning sites and budget subsidy, and promote effective distribution of resources in the aging society via complete arrangement of learning resources and subsidy implementation.
