A Study on College Students'Behavior of Coffee Consumption─The Case of NankaiUniversity of Technology

This study targets to explore the study of coffee consumption behaviors of college students. The leading research purposes are as follows. First, to understand the universal situation of college students coffee consumption behavior. Second, to discover the differences in coffee cognition among college students with different demographic variables. Third, to explore the differences in consumption barriers among college students with different demographic variables. Fourth, to explore the correlation between college students coffee cognition and consumption barriers. The study was conducted by the college students of Nankai University of Technology, which had completed register in the first semester of the 107th school year. The research method was conducted by questionnaire survey. A total of 270 copies of the “Teaching Students Survey on Coffee Consumption Behavior” were used as research tools and collected 260 valid questionnaires. Statistical analysis contains descriptive statistics, T-test (independent), one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation. The important results of this study are as follows. First, the cognitive part of college students coffee, in terms of gender, grade, work situation, coffee consumption, coffee drinks to be drunk, coffee, pastry, coffee, seasoning, and convenience of buying coffee. To buy a good coffee drink and a good coffee drink will recommend significant differences to others. Second, college students consume obstacles, there are significant differences in gender, grade, coffee consumption, coffee per cup average price, coffee drinks to be drunk, coffee to add condiments, and coffee drinks that will be re-purchased.. Third, the "knowledge" and "attitude" of coffee cognition are significantly positively correlated with the "interpersonal hindrance" and "structural hindrance" of consumption hindrance, while the "experience" and "attitude" are significantly negatively correlated with the "personal hindrance" of consumption hindrance.. The conclusion of this study as follows. There are significant differences in the cognitive aspects of coffee among different demographic variables. There are significant differences in the consumption barriers among different demographic variables. The college students are related to coffee cognition and consumption barrier.
