The Research on Financial Education, Perception and Behaviors of College Students

After the financial crisis in 2008, in order to avoid deflation and promote economic growth, many countries have lowered interest rates, which makes wealth management has been slowly taken seriously. Among them, college students who are about to enter society are particularly important. Therefore, it is very helpful for students to establish good financial perceptions and participate in financial education. This study aimed at the students who participated in the 7th National College Financial Planning Competition of North, Central and South Regions in 2018 to explore the impact of college students financial education, financial perception and financial behavior. On November 21, 2018, an online questionnaire was sent out as surveys. 438 valid questionnaires were retrieved, and the research analysis was performed by using SPSS software and AMOS. The research results show that: 1. Financial education has a positive impact on financial behavior. 2. Financial perception has a positive impact on financial behavior. 3. Background variables have a positive impact on financial education, financial perception and financial behavior. This research suggests that students can learn the definition and calculation of inflation, social insurance and personal financial statement analysis. Alternatively, cultivate correct financial perception and establish correct concepts of financial planning, which can improve studentsfinancial behaviors of financial planning and making good use of financial tools.
