In the rapidly changing and fiercely competitive global environment, with a completely new Contingency Model of Leadership, the organization can meet the needs of the present and gain advantages. Leadership behavior is not always effective in improving organizational effectiveness. However, employees are required to fully cooperate with each other and complete tasks assigned by the organization. Relevant research indicates that employee engagement is the key point because it highly increases the company's performance. How to make employees show high levels of work engagement has a positive effect on promoting organizational performance for the future. Meanwhile, it is common for the organization to solve problems or generate ideas by applying group operations. Groups can provide bountiful resources, ideas and knowledge to effectively solve the problems that the organization faces or improve business effectiveness to achieve organizational goals. Whether employees’ work engagement is improved because supervisors apply positive leadership policy and whether supervisors’ positive leadership policy and group cohesion have a positive effect on employees’ work engagement, both of which are key factors in organizational growth and business effectiveness. Hence, the purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between the supervisor's positive leadership and work engagement. Furthermore, this study examined whether group cohesion had an mediating effect on the positive leadership and work engagement. The subjects in the study were current staff. This study analyzed the effect of the supervisor's positive leadership on group cohesion and work engagement. Questionnaire survey was emloyed in this study. 397 efficient samples were finally received. The findings in this study are as follows: 1.The supervisor's positive leadership has a significant impact on the employees’ work engagement. 2.The supervisor's positive leadership has a significant impact on group cohesion. 3.The group cohesion has a significant impact on the employees’ work engagement. 4.Group cohesion has a significant mediating effect on the relationship between the supervisor's positive leadership and the work engagement.
