Taiwan has little research on animal-assisted therapy based on psychological healing, and most of it is based on efficacy research. Therefore, this research uses the form of technical report, through a case study of healing dog, systematically organizes the definition of therapist and healing dog in healing dog psychological team, screening and training process as professional work patterns, and the establishment of animal-assisted therapy theory based on psychological healing in Taiwan. This research is through the relationship phases between healing dog and two adolescents and one child in individual animal-assisted therapy work, and explores the integration of relevant psychological theories to specifically show the related operations and techniques of animal-assisted therapy. The conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) psychological healing-oriented animal-assisted therapeutic relationship model (2) communication channel for bodily sense (3) therapeutic space change (4) adaptability of healing dog. This technical report reveals how the therapist with counseling in the field of animal-assisted therapy in Taiwan work together with trained healing dog to develop a professional work model that is specifically oriented to psychological healing.
