A Study of the Current Status of Information Technology Integrated into Resource Room Instructions in Junior High School in Central Taiwan

The purpose of this research was to understand the current situation of information technology integrated into instructions by resource room teachers in national junior high school in central Taiwan. The research method used a questionnaire survey method, and the research tool was “level scale of information technology integrated into instructions”. The sample was 145 resource room teachers. There were 94.8% of survey completed and 94.2% of them were valid. The data were processed and analyzed by statistical methods such as mean, standard deviation and one-way ANOVA. According to the results of this study, the following conclusions were summarized: 1.The most use of information technology integrated into resource room instructions of junior high school in central Taiwan is at the level of “awareness”and highly integrated. 2.The overall situation of information technology integrated into resource room instructions of junior high school in central Taiwan is moderately integrated. 3.There is significant difference among teachers with different teaching years at the level of “integration-mechanical”. The results shows that teachers who has taught for 16 to 20 years have the better degree of integration than teachers who has taught less than 5 years. 4.Teachers with different special education backgrounds make significant differences at the level of information technology integrated into instructions. The research results show that teachers who has special education master’s degree integrate better than teachers without getting professional special education training at the level of “expansion”. In general, the teachers who graduated from the research institute of special education highly integrate information technology into instructions. 5.Teachers with different information technology backgrounds make significant differences at all levels of information technology integrated into instructions. On the whole, teachers with information technology specialty integrate well, and teachers who had never participated in IT-related studies integrate worse. Based on the results of the research, it could provide as a reference for improving the current situation to relevant units, resource room teachers and the future researches.
