Parkinson’s disease is a neurodegenerative disease that mostly occurs among the elderly. While the disease itself cannot be cured, early treatment can usually delay the symptoms. The cause of the disease is unknown to this date, but it is currently thought to be related to nerve cells dying in the substantia nigra. The early symptoms of Parkinson’s disease are similar to other geriatric diseases, so it is easy to cause misdiagnosis and delay proper treatment. Currently, some relevant literatures have pointed out that specific mRNA, such as parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase (PRKN), Synuclein alpha (SNCA), Leucine-rich repeat kinase 2 (LRRK2), etc., are associated with Parkinson’s disease. Therefore, this thesis aims to locate the mRNA related to Parkinson's disease from different microarray datasets using limma and KEGG methods. We discover that the four mRNA, aminoadipate-semialdehyde dehydrogenase-phosphopantetheinyl transferase (AASDHPPT)、versican (VCAN)、 enhancer of zeste 1 polycomb repressive complex 2 subunit (EZH1)、SPT20 homolog (SUPT20H) are potential biomarkers of Parkinson’s disease.
