Preparation and Anti-corrosion Performance of Aniline Tetramer Capped Electroactive Imide Oligomer

Popis: | 107 In this study, aniline tetramer (AT) capped electroactive imide oligomer (EIO) was successfully synthesized. The chemical structure of AT and EIO were confirmed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and the electroactive was analyzed by cyclic voltammetric. The precursor-electroactive amic acid oligomer of EIO was found to exhibit good solubility in organic solvents. Moreover, anticorrosion performance of the EIO and non-electroactive polyimide (NEPI) coatings on the cold rolled steel (CRS) in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization measurement and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. After 30 days immersion, the impedance value for EIO and NEPI were 1.33×107 ohm·cm2 and 3.66×106 ohm·cm2, respectively. The resultant showed that the EIO exhibit better anti-corrosion properties than the NEPI. Finally, the passivation of CRS substrate by EIO coating was proved by the morphology and composition of rust products beneath the coating which observed via the scanning electron microscope and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. |
