With the rapid change of the global business environment, enterprises face many risks to challenge their supply chain. However, there is a lack of effective guidance framework on supply chain risk management. The development of blockchain technology will transform supply chain activities. Therefore, this study explores the impacts of blockchain on reducing supply chain risks and analyzes by the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In this study, the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) is used to classify the supply chain risks. Based on the blockchain characteristics, this study summarizes the nineteen supply chain risks which could be reduce by blockchain as criteria in the hierarchical structure. Valid twelve-item questionnaires were collected through interviewing experts of manufacturing companies in Taiwan to valuate the weights of criteria. From the analysis results, the procurement process is the most important criteria when enterprises to consider for reducing risks, and the weight of the manufacturing process was ranked second. Among the nineteen criteria, the top five factors are clarity of supply sources, fake and counterfeit product problem, fraud or misunderstanding of contract problem, the flexibility of capacity, and sensitivity of changes in demands. Also, this study propose recommendations for the enterprises when they plan to adopt the blockchain technology within its supply chain risk management.
