Taiwan has advanced transportation facilities. In most transportation facilities,the bridge may be one of the earliest important constructions that have appeared in people’s lives and linked the two places. Today, many big and small bridges have been built in all parts of Taiwan, which not only greatly reduces the transportation time, but more importantly, links the major cities and promotes development. This study mainly discusses pre-stressed concrete I-girder bridges built in early Taiwan. After decades of changes, the bridge has moved towards a trend of deterioration. In order to confirm the influences of deterioration in the bridge, numerical simulation and experimentation are used to ensure that the bridge is still within safe range. This study uses the Midas Civil software to establish the PCI girder bridge model, and used monitoring data to compare with existing experiment. Through comparing the numerical simulation data with the existing experimental data, models are adjusted to meet the current situation of the bridge. Take control the stress, strain, deformation and pre-stressed loss of the bridge structure, access the extent to which the overall bridge is affected by the deterioration, and establish monitoring and management values to control the future safety of the bridge.
