Background. ……Nursing staff are the first line of care for patients. The proportion of nursing staff in the medical team is the most, and it is often the first time that the patient suddenly arrives at the patient unit and assesses the need for first aid. Nursing staff who are trained in advanced cardiac life-saving courses can get effective learning and can correctly implement first-aid techniques and abilities in future clinical work. This is an issue that the author considers to be extremely important. Objectives ……The purpose of this study was to explore the factors related to the awareness, first aid ability and self-efficacy of senior cardiac life-saving training among nursing staff in two regional teaching hospitals in the central and southern regions, and to analyze the influence of the personal background of nursing staff on the ability to perform first aid and first aid self-efficacy. Methods. ……In this study, the cross-sectional study design questionnaire survey method was adopted, and the nursing staff of the two regional teaching hospitals in the central and southern regions were sampled. From October 22, 2017 to November 26, 2017, the IRB was approved and the subjects agreed to collect data. A total of 245 questionnaires were distributed and 242 were recovered, with a recovery rate of 98.8%.The total number of valid questionnaires was 240, and the effective questionnaire recovery rate was 99.1%. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 statistical software. Results ……. The age, the level of nursing into the class, the total length of clinical work, and the nature of the position explained the effectiveness of first aid self-efficacy as 17.0%.It means that the older the age, the higher the grade, the longer the clinical work, and the higher the self-efficacy of the specialists. The nature of the job, the work department, the number of ACLS training, the two training intervals of ACLS, the actual number of first aids in six months, and the motivation (type) of participating in the ACLS course explained 28.1% of the first-aid self-efficacy. Show different work departments (such as internal medicine intensive care unit, emergency room, medical ward), the more training times and the re-training within 3 years, the actual participation in the first aid within 6 months, more than 6 times, and the motivation to participate in the course 4 or more higher self-efficacy.The ability to re-invest in first aid has an explanatory power of 56.7% for first-aid self-efficacy, indicating that the higher the self-assessment ability, the higher the self-efficacy. Conclusion ……. First-aid ability is the need to repeat drills, and through the actual experience to achieve the internalization and experience of skills, the richer the relative experience, the skillful skills and the ease of use, the higher the first-aid self-efficacy.
