| Popis: | 107 The overseas Taiwanese population faces a key problem: with the rise of the number of people learning Mandarin, does it necessarily indicate that Taiwanese would flourish along with Mandarin, or would people cease to speak Taiwanese as the result of the rising Mandarin-speaking population? How do we solve this problem? This research defines the term “Mandarin-Taiwanese” as the co-learning of Mandarin and Taiwanese. The researcher uses interviews and archived files to investigate the process of eight sessions of Mandarin-Taiwanese Tongyong Language camps held from 2000 to 2018, and also collects the teaching achievements of a teacher surnamed “H”. At last, the researcher discusses the difficulties in the development of overseas Taiwanese education. This research finds that the Taiwanese Tongyong Pinyin can invoke the flourishing of both Mandarin and Taiwanese, on the other hand, the Taiwanese Romanization method can prove difficult. |
