| Popis: | 107 After the end of the war-land administration in 1992, the Kinmen government has to take the local need into account for its policy within which the culture plays a vital issue. This is because Kinmen is a county with rich cultural heritage, and the local government highly values its role not only for the touristic affairs, but also for the construction of local identity. During the period of the war-land administration, the Bureau of Social Education took charge of the cultural affairs. Yet, it has been reorganized to be the County Cultural Center of Kinmen in 2000, and turned into the Bureau of Culture in 2004. The Cultural Park of Kinmen was established, step by step, with the help of Central government, to promote the “Cultural Kinmen”. However, it has encountered lots of difficulties in the wake of its establishment, which represents not only the hardship to combine the museum with the local in the globalization age, but also and more importantly the special characteristic of Kinmen between the Taiwan Strait, and its linkage with the diasporic community in East Asia. Based on the clan society, the concept of “vibrant Minnan culture” was elaborated as the core element of its identity, and its strategic role to mitigate the tension between Taiwan and China, as well as to realize its policy for the cultural economy.
