Popis: | 107 Since ancient times, the issues of life and death as well as human rights have been considered highly relevant to religion, ethics and laws. “Death”,the terminal sage of life, has been a fearful and taboo topic for the majority. However,with the development of internet, much more relevant information about death is easily assessable. “Death” nowadays can be discussed and educated, and it is no longer a mystery. This article tries to explor the autonomy right of good death from religious beliefs. Though cancer has been a common disease, when a patient was dignosed cancer twenty or thirty years ago, it meant the and of the world. With the progress of medical treatments,some cancer can be cured now while others can only be postponed. Therefore, seeking for a good death seems like an unreachable dream. Most of the time,when making the final decision of death, the patient’s will is neglected. Family members gather to discuss the way of death,but the main protagonist is absent form invitation. When life comes to the end, is it possible for us to have the right to choose the way of death – to die with dignity ? “Euthanasin”has been a controversial issue worldwide since last century. Ln Taiwan, neither the “Hospice palliative Care Act” nor “Patinet Autonomy Act” can meet terminally – ill patients’needs. What we are looking forword to is having the right to self –determine the way of death with dignity in the last mile of life. |
