Globalization tactics and entry strategies in India’s economy is analyzed utilizing the multinational enterprise of IKEA. The company is a provider of furniture service solutions. Here within the methodology is described to see how the furniture giant gained entry in India. Therefore, leading to the launch of IKEA’s first store in August 2018 in Hyderabad, India. The values held by the company are consistent to trending topics of sustainability, and corporate social responsibility. Understanding how these two concepts are intertwined is important in knowing how IKEA developed its entry strategy in India. Although, IKEA has launched its first store it is important to also know what future challenges they may face in this environment. The values of this company are evaluated and considered as an effort to capture new market share. The strategies discussed show how innovation in sustainability is shifting from a linear model to the new circular economy model. This concept is quite new, and many other corporations have yet to capitalize on this strategy. Understanding IKEA’s implementation and how it will navigate India’s environment to bring value to shareholders will be key to their success. In addition, limitations and challenges derived by using sustainable practices will be discussed. Lastly, recommendations are provided to IKEA in order to navigate current and future challenges in India.
