The Effects of Family Meal, Parent-child Attachment on Family Life Well-being for the Adolescents

Popis: | 107 The focus of this research was to study the effects of family meal, parent-child attachment on family life well-being for the adolescents. Questionnaires were utilized to investigate the adolescents in New Taipei City. The total of 523 valid questionnaires were collected. The data collected were analyzed by factor analyses, t-tests, one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation and hierarchical regressions. The results were as followed : 1. The “everyday meals” was relatively higher in frequency of family meal for the adolescents. The “family meal interactive” was relatively higher and the “family meal emotion ” was relatively lower in family meal atmosphere scales. The “trust” was relatively higher and the “communication ” was relatively lower in parent-child positive attachment scales. 2. From the results of the hierarchical regressions, the results showed that gender, grade and family socioeconomic status of adolescents, family meal, and parent-child attachment had partially significant prediction on adolescents’ family life well-being. The total variables explained 50%~53% variance of the family life well-being for the adolescents in New Taipei City. Finally, according to the results, the suggestions were provided for adolescents, parents, schools, government and future studies. |
