In recent years, internships in colleges and universities have become a popular trend. Students can begin the career as early as the internship and improve the professional skill from the intern job. To start the career as early as in the university has become one of the necessary achievements that the students value the most. Student can make the most of the intern opportunity to learn the practical professional skill and enrich the work experience. It is easy to start up a company. But the management needs to utilize all the resources to create revenue and to make the business sustainable. As the saying goes, "Entrepreneurship is difficult." Under the circumstance that the man-power, material resources, and finance capital are all insufficient, the start-ups need to better exploit the resources for their success and growth. This study discusses the learning theory and career development of the internship in college and university students. It uses the start-ups as the example. Secondly, it studies the motivations, the learning outcomes, and the current status and future development of internships. It analyzes the corporate training programs and the value that the intern has created to the company. It also examines how startups plan for successful development strategies, internal organizational structures, corporate culture, and employee training. The study shows the followings. 1) The result, that the Social learning theory argues we can learn from experience, can also be achieved by imitation, observation, and learning. 2) The intern experience and corporate training program are helpful to the future career planning. 3) The learning outcome is obvious when the students begin the intern job with a positive motivation and active participation. 4) The employer’s satisfaction towards the intern relies more on the attitude during the internship and less on the result of the work. 5) If the startup wants the business to be sustainable, the development strategy needs to be detailed and stable. We advise that students to look for companies with a good labor benefit, multiple learning opportunities, and opportunity in abroad internship, to enrich the world view and accumulate more experience and skill.
