The Studies of Methanol to Biofuel Production

Popis: | 107 Petrochemical energy brings convenience to people, but it also exposes human beings to global warming and other crises. Therefore, scientists are working on the development of renewable energy. Biofuel is an important part of it. The purpose of this study was methanol converted into biofuel by ZSM-5, and the best parameters were obtained by using Taguchi experimental design method to obtain the highest yield. In the methanol conversion biomass fuel experiment, the optimum reaction conditions that could get the highest yield 19.52% were as following: the hydroalcoholic molar ratio 1, the catalyst loading with metal Fe/Zn, the reaction temperature 450°C, the pressure 4 atm and WHSV = 1 hr-1. The products were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometer and gas chromatograph. The X-ray powder diffractometer, the scanning electron microscope and inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry are used for the catalytic properties, surface structure and element content of catalysts. |
