A Study on the Relationship between Teacher's Person-Leisure Fit and Job Burnout: Social Support as a Moderating Variable

| Popis: | 107 This study explores the relationship between teachers’ person-leisure fit and job burnout; further take social support as a moderating variable to see if it has influence on the relationship between teachers’ person-leisure fit and job burnout. This study conducted a survey to the junior high school teachers in Taiwan. The total number of questionnaires issued was 300, in which 298 questionnaires were valid. SPSS was employed to conduct t test, ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple hierarchical regression analysis. The major results are as follows: 1.The correlation analysis results showed that person-leisure was correlated with job burnout. 2.The regression results showed that there exist negative relations between teachers’ person-leisure fit and job burnout. However, social support has no moderating effect on the relationship between teachers’ person-leisure fit and job burnout. 3.Based on the results of this study, further discussion and conclusion are drawn to offer concrete suggestions to school administers, school teachers, and the future researchers for the relative fields. |
