The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) is a technique applied in many broadband wireless communication systems because the OFDM has not only the advantage of the resisting multipath path attenuation but also high-speed transmission. Despite the OFDM system possessing the high-efficiency spectrum usage, it will cause a high Peak-to-Average Power Ratio(PAPR) problem since it is superimposed by multiple subcarrier modulation signals. When the OFDM signal passes through a power amplifier operated in the non-linear region, its corresponding output signal will produce non-linear distortion, which causes out-of-band interference and in-band distortion. Thus this leads to an increase in the bit error rate and then decreases the overall performance of the OFDM system. In this thesis, the problem of the high peak-to-average power ratio of the OFDM signals is discussed. The pre-distortion processing for the high-power amplifiers combined with the ICF technology can reduce the high peak-to average power ratio by using the Contemporary Cumulative Distribution Function(CCDF). On the other hand, we also apply the Artificial Neural Network(ANN) technology in the high PAPR problem via the deep learning technique.
