| Popis: | 107 Background: The prevalence of depression among the elders in the community is 21%. The risk factor of mental health is usually not only one. Especially, the elders’ depression is associated with multiple factors of psychological and social domain. Objective: The aim of the study is to explore the relationship of resilience, family support, and depression among community-dwelling elders. Method: The cross-sectional and correlational design is conducted using face to face interviews. Data is collected by the questionnaires. The sample size is 127 participants with age 65-80 years living in communities in Southern Taiwan. The structured questionnaire includes items of depression, resilience, family support, Activities of Daily Living, and demographic data. The Data analysis is computed using SPSS20.0 for window for descriptive statistics as well as independent t-tests, Pearson correlation. Results: The average of depression score in elders with 2 chronic diseases was higher than ones with only one chronic disease(t=-2.48, p=.014 ).
