Popis: | 106 Due to rapid development of information technology and widespread of mobile devices, mobile-learning has become one of the new trends in education. Mobile-Learning has the potential for enhancing the students’ interest and learning achievement. Plant concept is an important topic in elementary schools. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of inquiry mobile learning. In other words, this study adopted the campus plants as the learning theme and scheduled a series of inquiry learning activities for the students to explore the plants in campus by mobile devices. This study adopted quasi-Experimental design for conducting a learning experiment in Taipei city. The subjects are 77 third-grade students from a large scale elementary school in Taipei City. They were divided into experimental group 1(n=26), experimental group 2 (n=25), and control group (n=27). The experimental group 1 accepted the method of integrating PBL with inquiry-based learning by means of mobile devices, experimental group 2 accepted the same method without mobile devices, and control group accepted traditional teaching. The experiment lasted for 7 weeks. These two experimental groups were asked to explore the campus plants including observation, recording, discussion, taking picture or drawing image of specified plants in their mission. Afterwards, they had to finish their digital works and present them publicly. Finally, the experimental group 1 were asked to draw the map for the campus plants, and build AR-code and upload their works into AR system. The research instruments of this study include "problem-based inquiry learning system", "achievement test on campus plants", "the natural science learning attitude inventory", "the oral expression ability and digital project work assessment", and "information literacy scale", and "questionnaire of perception toward inquiry learning". This study employed descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, paired sample t-tests, and one-way ANCOVA for analyzing the collected data. The findings of this study were depicted as follows: 1.the method of integrating project-based learning with mobile inquiry-based learning is helpful for the promotion of achievement of campus plants. 2. the method of integrating project-based learning with mobile inquiry-based learning can enhance students’ natural science learning attitudes. 3. the method of integrating project-based learning with mobile inquiry-based learning can promote the quality of digital works. 4. the method of integrating project-based learning with mobile inquiry-based learning will help students to enhance their information literacy. |
