The Influence of Innovation Climate on Project Performance: Comparison of Different Types of Project Organizations

| Popis: | 106 With the rapid development of science and technology, the market competition is becoming increasingly fierce, and the product life cycle is continuously shortening. Therefore, in order to maintain their competitiveness and cope with rapid changes in market demand, companies must constantly create new strategies, new services or develop new products, and even engage in organization change with the form of projects. In the past literature, it was mentioned that in the innovative organizational climate, employees'' creativity can be stimulated, and the projects launched by the company can be more unique, thereby increasing the performance of the company. In addition to good performance, good project management can also enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and ensure the survival and development of enterprises. In Taiwan, the main industry development in project is the construction industry and the high-tech industry. The project organizations of these two industries are of different types. The project organization type of the construction industry mostly belongs to the matrix type. Most of the project organization types of the high-tech industry belong to the functional type. Most of the past researchs discussed the impact of the innovation climate of the high-tech industry on the project performance. Therefore, this study joins the construction industry to explore whether there is any different impact of innovation climate on project performance between different industries. This study used SPSS statistical software to analyze data and selected sample from the high-tech industry and the construction industry of Taiwan. In the period from March 2018 to May 2018, there were 205 valid questionnaires returned from the high-tech industry, and 138 from the construction industry. The results of this study are as follows : 1.Innovation climate has positive impacts on project innovation in the high-tech industry and the construction industry’s project. 2.Project innovation has positive impacts on project performance in the high-tech industry and the construction industry’s project. 3.Innovation climate has positive impacts on project performance in the high-tech industry and the construction industry’s project. |
