Developed of Mobile Phone 3D Printer Resin Tank with Low Separation Force

This paper is a study on the development of resin tanks for T3D mobile phone 3D printing system. The purpose of the research is to find out the best parameters to produce resin tank, make it suitable for production plan and adjust the process parameters to reduce the separation force of resin tank. In the bottom-up photopolymerization process, the main factors affecting print quality and success rate is the separation force between the cured resin and the bottom of the resin tank. It is a common method to reduce the separation force by using a physical method to construct a microstructure on a film or using a chemical method to prevent the cured resin from sticking on bottom of the resin tank, but these methods are not economical in this production plan; therefore, this study discuss the relationship between film tension and separation force in resin tank, and try to find out the appropriate process parameters to reduce the separation force. Finally, compare the separation force of T3D resin tank with the commercially available photocuring printer Nova3D resin tank. The result shows that the separation force of the Nova3D resin tank is 14.63N; however, the lowest separation force value of T3D resin tank is 1.69N, which is much better than Nova3D resin tank.
