| Popis: | 106 The purpose of the study is to discuss the factors that influent Psychiatric medical utilization in elderly people. The data are taken from the National Health Survey in 2005 and National Health Insurance Database in 2004 to 2007. We estimate the probability of Psychiatric medical treatment by logit model, the total cost of Psychiatric medical utilization by ordinary least squares model and the total frequency of Psychiatric medical utilization by negative binomial model. The results show that there is no difference in probability of receiving Psychiatric medical treatment of elderly living alone or not, but the elderly living alone have significantly lower Psychiatric medical utilization than their counterparts. However, the elderly living with daughter have higher Psychiatric medical utilization than the elderly living with other relatives. Women have a higher probability of receiving Psychiatric medical treatment than men. There is a positive correlation between age and Psychiatric medical utilization. Living region and marriage status also have significant impacts on Psychiatric medical utilization. Retirees have a higher Psychiatric medical utilization than their counterparts. |
