Exploring the Preferences of Travel Itineraries of Hiking Trail Tourists in San-Wan Township of Miaoli County

| Popis: | 106 This research aims to explore the choice preferences of travel itineraries for different hiking trails in San Wan Township of Miaoli County, based on questionnaires and deep interviews. The results are as follow: (1)San Wan Township trails can be summarized into six categories, namely: Reclamation and defense, irrigation pond, transport trails, comprehensive community development, ecological protection, mountain walking. (2) Yong-He-San Reservoir trail is the favorite hiking trail for the tourists because of the accessibility, water access, climate and historical heritages. (3)There is a significant difference in tourist itinerary preference the variables such as age, occupation, educational level, monthly income, place of residence. According to the results, this research proposes suggestions as follow: (1)Developing the local cultural history and integrating community resources to promote the hiking trails. (2)Establishing travel signs to put together the itinerary for the total hiking trails to a circular itinerary for tourists. (3)Promoting and marketing the agricultural products such as san-wan pears, makino bamboos and tea through tourism development based on tourist foods. (4) Government sectors can invest more budgets to manage and maintain the tourism service facilities of hiking trails. (5)Establishing hiking trail museum designed in fashion and art style to promote the tourist spots and industry culture. |
